On Tuesday, November 14, more than 100 guests joined together for “Autumn Affair,” an event that raised more than $29,000 for the VNA of Care New England.The presenting sponsor for the event, which was held at Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, was Centreville Bank Charitable Foundation.
“We are so grateful to our sponsors for their continued support and ongoing commitment to the VNA of Care New England, which has allowed us to continue improving the quality of life for our patients and their families,” said Kathleen Peirce, RN, BSN, MS, executive director of the VNA of Care New England. “Our donors and supporters, many of whom are here tonight, work tirelessly to ensure our organization’s continued growth, and today the VNA of Care New England stands strong and is ready and able to meet the home health and hospice needs of our community.”
The VNA of Care New England is a non-profit, Medicare- and Medicaid-certified visiting nurse, home health care, and hospice agency. Since 1908, the agency has been a trusted community resource, providing Rhode Islanders with quality health care in their homes, including a comprehensive line of cardiac, pulmonary, rehabilitative, palliative care, and hospice services. The staff of caregivers includes registered nurses; nurse practitioners; physical, occupational, and speech therapists; social workers; home health aides; nutritionists; respiratory therapists; medical directors; and chaplains.
